Hebrew Synagogue, Galveston, Texas.

.....The Temple Congregation B'Nai Israel called this magnificent building home. Originally built in 1870, the building was designed by Fred Stewart. It was originally brick, but was stuccoed in 1890. In 1953, the building was sold and converted to a Masonic Temple. Much of the fine detail has been removed from the building, resulting in the bland facade seen today.
