Galveston CLG-3

.....Built in 1945, the Galveston was a "Cleveland Class" cruiser. Initially she was given the designation "CL-93" but the end of World War II put her completion on hold. She was then converted to a guided missile light cruiser, and given the designation CLG-93. Later she was again reclassified, only this time as CLG-3, and served in Vietnam and other locations throughout the world. She was decommissioned in 1973 and sold for scrap in 1975.
