..........The Sealy mansion stands to the left of the Texas Heroes Monument, and was converted to the Open Gates Teleconferencing Center for the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1996. The building in front of it on the left side of the postcard was the Southern Union Gas building. It was demolished in 1996 to make room for parking.
