First Baptist Church

"First Baptist Church" from "Souvenir of Galveston" circa 1900

.....This church structure was first a simple white frame building. Some of the early parishioner's included Gail Borden, Colonel Sydnor (Mayor) and others. The First Baptist Church joined with the Broadway Baptist Church and this building was constructed in 1883, only to be destroyed in the 1900 Storm.
